Job description: Information Architect/Business Analyst (BA)

*Previous experience working in or consulting with Canadian Federal Government is mandatory  


Language profile:  Bilingual French/English desirable but not essential


Cogniva is looking for motivated individuals to lead or participate in the delivery of Information Management services related to it’s C3 solution. The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Developing C3 meta models (Information Architecture) by using the C3 methodology
  • Leading or participating to auto-classification projects
  • Providing records and information management subject matter expertise on consulting engagements
  • Formulating solutions to complex business problems related to information management/information science
  • Conducting business analysis, functional modeling, content and information management inventories through interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, document analysis and use cases
  • Communicating and collaborating with external/internal clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements
  • Collaborate with software developers and subject-matter experts to develop technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance


Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in defining requirements and delivering solutions
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal (bilingualism is an asset, but most of the work will be conducted in English)
  • Strong initiative and leadership skills demonstrated through work experience
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and plan workload, to meet deadlines and client commitments on time
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject-matter experts
  • Ability to actively contribute and collaborate in a team environment


A Master’s degree or equivalent experience in one of the related fields is desired but not mandatory:


  • Library and Information Science, Archival Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Records Management
